The Street Parade brings a sea of colour, creativity and celebration of the Whitsunday community down Airlie Beach Main Street as young and old, locals and tourists, line the streets to soak up the atmosphere.

Entries can be a ‘walking’ entry or vehicle ‘float’ or a combination of both. The Street Parade is always reef-themed, this year’s theme ‘Above and below‘

- We want everyone to have fun AND be safe, including spectators. Therefore please assist with implementing these safety requirements:
- No Throwing. No objects to be thrown during the parade, including lollies – to minimise the risk of spectators and participants from moving in front of vehicles and getting hurt. Distributing lollies can be done by walking close to the crowd and handing to the children
- All vehicles e.g. truck, bus, car/ute/4WD with trailer MUST HAVE two walkers along side / in front of vehicles (preferably wearing high-vis vests/shirts) to assist with safety of walking participants and spectators. This will be checked at the assembly point
- Dont forget the theme – vehicles or entrants must be dressed using the reef theme to take part
